Madeline’s Munchies was founded by an 8 year old girl who wanted to make her own money. Our family separated when she was younger so I could pursue my dream of opening a restaurant with my name on the door. I had been promoted by my company in Sarasota and Madeline stayed in West Palm Beach with her Mom and sibling until after graduation. 

When I was visiting my family one day, Madeline explained to me a situation and she needed my help. Madeline had lost an old iPhone we had given her to play games. Couldn’t find it anywhere. At the time, I had been baking cookies for my regulars. Baking my grandfather’s recipes for my guests was a way for me to connect on a more personal level and it was something I enjoyed. Madeline told me she wanted to raise the money to replace the device and I told her she was too young to work. This didn’t stop her. I asked her how she would make money and she told me that it was my job to give her ideas. I think I told her to sweep the driveway and to my surprise, she did it. 

The handful of dollars she made wasn’t enough. She needed more. I had recently visited an establishment with some friends and a young girl and her Dad approached us with a basket of brownies. My first response was “I’m not buying brownies from some kid”. Then, I thought about her drive. I looked over her shoulder and saw a father who was encouraging his kid. We bought 4 brownies and she made $100. 

In this spirit, Madeline’s Munchies was born. Madeline would package the cookies I baked and she would knock on doors to sell them to her neighbors and friends. We baked a lot of cookies. I used my resources to secure us commercial kitchen space to bake thousands of cookies. We registered our business and my wife’s designer came up with the perfect logo. Madeline showed initiative. When she wanted the newest dollhouse, she went to William’s Sonoma with prepackaged cookies and enough dough to bake in the store. The store smelled of my grandfather’s double chocolate chip cookies and she sold out in 45 minutes. 

Over the years, our passions grew. We searched for the best ingredients to put in our cookies and this passion continues today with a curated selection of ingredients and creations we find to share with the people in our lives. Madeline’s Munchies is a landing spot for foodies looking for rare and unique ingredients, recipes and live fire inspiration.
